What is Vatican II All About? An Online Course

A Six-Week Online Course on The Second Vatican Council

The Archdiocese of San Francisco is very excited to announce our latest online course offering, a special course taught by Mark Brumley, former staff apologist at Catholic Answers and current President of Ignatius Press.

These six consecutive classes will be taught live on Zoom starting October 5th at 7:00 P.M. (San Francisco time) and will be recorded for your convenience. Zoom classes will be held on October 5, October 12, October 19, October 26, November 2, and November 9.

The Second Vatican Council remains controversial in some Catholic circules. Many people see it as involving a radical break from the Catholic past for good or bad. Others, such as the popes since the Council, see it as a renewal and reform of the one-and-the same Catholic Church. This is a mini-course covering the main teachings of the Second Vatican Council (1962-195). It also examines how the Council's teaching has been received, mispperceived, and resisted, as well as how it has shaped Catholic life and mission in the last half-century.
